I'm cold, tired, sick, and did I mention tired? All school year the members of our drama department, the OKP (aka Opening Knight Players), worked together making the play called 'Marvin's Room'. It came out great, might I add.

I alone worked on costumes, props, and I was at school on two of my days off helping build sets. Mighty fine for a freshman with no other obligations. I was all hyped up all year for the play itself, and I was ready to help.

...Until it rolled around. Don't take me wrong, its fun. We OKP kids are one big family. We party it up until we have to be backstage. But being a freshman, I have like no jobs. Its boring, and really really cold backstage. I'm honored to be able to help in this fantastic production, but when your sitting in the dark, freezing, its hard to have fun.

And I have two more days of it. We didn't get home till 10:30 last night, then a water main broke in front of our house and we had sirens and the whole shebang right in front of my window till around two in the morning. I couldn't get any homework done, and my sadistic math teacher is still giving me 'Homework Club' which is detention in disguise.

But I'm slightly happy cuz the atmosphere around the play, cold and tiring as it is, is always hyped up and fun. Can't wait till I can act in the next one!!

Also, apparently my directer Mr. P takes junior and seniors plays that they write, reads them, edits them, and sometimes even performs them. Thats my new goal, to write a play thats performed. If anyone writes a play in the next 4 years, and wants it put on, tell me! I'll make sure to post pictures if it happens.






Oh, and also this full ramble is just to try out the new little journal skins.
